Chapter 1: The Nature of Time and Love

In our existence, nothing remains unchanged. Time, an omnipresent force, governs everything—whether it’s human-made, natural, living, or non-living. Over the 4.6 billion years of Earth's history, time has proven to be an unyielding entity, offering no refunds or second chances. This relentless passage of time appears to be an ultimate miser.

So, what defies the grip of time? Albert Einstein, through his groundbreaking Theory of Relativity, suggested that while time is remarkably stingy, it is also relative. He mathematically demonstrated that as objects approach the speed of light—a feat challenging to achieve—time effectively slows down. This was substantiated by experiments involving atomic clocks and supersonic jets. Furthermore, quantum physics has shown that at the subatomic level, mass and energy are in a constant state of interchange. If all these oscillations could harmonize, one could oscillate between physical existence and pure energy at an extraordinarily high frequency. This notion may seem outlandish scientifically, yet we continuously exist as both energy and matter, making our tangible forms mere perceptions—an illusion of sorts.

The crux is that time, mass, energy, and all components of the physical world are, at some level, relative rather than absolute. If one were to achieve a certain velocity, time could, in fact, grant back a fleeting moment. This suggests that nature possesses a loophole to the seemingly impossible notion that reality is merely a perception influenced by the observer—even in the realm of physics. Adjusting one's reference frame alters one’s reality, potentially even time itself. Should we become pure energy, we could traverse time like a ray of light. But does absolute permanence exist?

We may never fully comprehend this with our limited mental faculties and scientific instruments. Nonetheless, I propose a candidate that might transcend time—unconditional love. While I lack scientific evidence to support this claim, I believe many share this sentiment, including numerous religious teachings.

Despite our vast ignorance in this expansive universe, one undeniable truth persists: unconditional love remains alive in our hearts, and our affection for those we have loved does not wane, even after their departure.

Is it conceivable that unconditional love, once established, never diminishes? Perhaps this is the one force that is indestructible, untouched by time, energy, or any material aspect of our universe because it exists as an absolute truth—contrary to the relative nature of all other elements.

If unconditional love is indeed absolute, it could surpass even the realm of science, which cannot definitively prove or disprove love's eternal essence due to its own relative foundation and the limited scope of human understanding.

Let’s simplify this idea. If you have ever loved someone deeply, that love endures, does it not? Time cannot strip away that bond. Each act of unconditional love enriches your soul. Everything else—our time, our experiences—is borrowed. However, the unconditional love we cultivate is ours to keep; it shapes our essence.

What a remarkable gift it is that we can foster and retain unconditional love.

So I ponder—who truly possesses wealth?

A Final Thought: Have you noticed that science lacks equations for love or methods to quantify it? It has formulas for time, mass, and energy, yet not for love. Why? Because love transcends scientific definition—it belongs to the heart and soul, while science pertains to the mind.

Love is our true “soulprint,” the mark we leave on this world that defines us beyond our earthly existence. Perhaps it is time we began to walk the path of humanity, leaving loving “soulprints” behind, just in case there is truth to this notion.
