Chapter 1: Returning to the Apple Ecosystem

At the end of last year, I made the decision to rejoin the Apple ecosystem after a two-year hiatus. I found myself missing several productivity apps that I used frequently, including Things 3. The seamless integration of Apple products is something that I truly appreciated, and this played a significant role in my return. Additionally, I discovered a fondness for various accessories designed for Apple devices. For instance, I am particularly fond of MagSafe accessories for my iPhone and the keychains available for AirTags.

In this article, I will share six remarkable accessories that enhance my overall Apple experience.

1. Benks 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Stand

To kick things off, I want to introduce the charging stand I use for my everyday tech essentials, which includes my iPhone 14 Pro Max, AirPods Pro (2nd generation), and my Apple Watch SE. I purchased this stand for just under £50, and it has proven to be worth every penny. Not only does it help maintain a tidy desk, but it also allows me to manage my calendar and time through the Standby feature. Prior to this, I used a basic Amazon Basics stand along with an Anker 4-Port charger, which, although functional, resulted in a mess of cables.

2. Apple AirTag

Next on my list is the Apple AirTag, a device I own multiple units of. After trying various alternatives like Tile Mate, Samsung Galaxy Tag, Chipolo, and notiOne, I find that the AirTag delivers the best user experience. I primarily use it to keep track of my keys and wallet—items I often misplace! They are especially handy when flying; just slip an AirTag into your luggage, and you can monitor its whereabouts even if it doesn’t board the same flight as you.

3. Pitaka Pita!Tag

Continuing with the AirTag theme, I want to highlight a useful accessory I recently reviewed on my YouTube channel: the Pitaka Pita!Tag. This multi-tool can be easily attached to your keys and includes a slot screwdriver, a cross screwdriver, a 2.0-caliber Allen key, and a pocket knife. The main feature of this tool is that it serves as an AirTag holder, making it a practical addition to your keys or bag. As an IT engineer, I find this accessory incredibly useful, especially in situations where I need a screwdriver on the go.

4. Pitaka Poetry of Things — Moon Watch Strap

The Pitaka Poetry of Things — Moon Apple Watch strap combines quality with an eye-catching design, particularly when paired with a Space Grey Apple Watch. Made from carbon and aramid fibers, this band is robust and has remained scratch-free. The accompanying tool for custom fitting adds to its appeal. Pitaka offers two versions of this band, and I opted for the blue variant to match my style. This is another item that is currently on sale, making it a worthwhile investment.

5. Anker USB-C Hub for MacBook

As an M1 MacBook Air user, I often find myself wishing for additional USB ports, especially as a content creator. This prompted me to purchase the Anker USB-C Hub, which enhances the limited two USB-C ports on my MacBook. The hub provides two USB-A ports for data transfer, a multi-function USB-C port, a USB-C data port, an HDMI port, and both SD and microSD card slots. This accessory has become one of my most essential tools; I truly would feel lost without it!

6. Mous Limitless 5.0 iPhone Case

Lastly, I want to mention the Mous Limitless 5.0 case, which I am purchasing for the second time. My first case protected my Google Pixel 7 Pro during two mountain biking accidents, and I trust it enough to buy it for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Although I probably should improve my cycling skills, the durability of this case has kept my phone safe while other devices have not fared as well.

Final Thoughts

In summary, these are the six accessories that significantly enhance my overall experience with Apple products. Whether it’s about style, convenience, or functionality, each accessory fulfills a specific need in my daily routine. However, there are countless other impressive accessories available. I’m currently considering a new AirTag-compatible wallet and a MagSafe power bank, but I’m still undecided on which models to choose.
