What If You Could Visualize Your Future Self Two Years Ahead?

Chapter 1: Imagining Your Future
What if you had the ability to create a vivid image of your life two years from now? How would you depict that vision?
For me, I envision it resembling my current life quite closely. It seems likely that not much will shift significantly, aside from my anticipated weight loss over the next few months — I aim to shed nearly 40 pounds! Aside from achieving a different physical appearance, I would hope that life remains stable. If it were to change unexpectedly, I might view it negatively since I'm currently content with how things are. My instinct would lean towards the belief that any alteration would be unfavorable. The only positive change I could imagine would be upgrading to a larger home, though that would involve the hassle of relocating. If only teleportation were possible, making moving a breeze! The thought of effortlessly transferring all my belongings to a new place sounds fantastic, given how stressful moving can be, especially when managing it mostly on my own.
What about you? How would you portray your life two years from now?
This inquiry is part of my ‘what if…?’ series, inspired by Scenario Cards, which consist of various themed decks (self, world, life; gratitude, vision, impact) designed to stimulate meaningful discussions, crafted by psychologists. You can explore the other articles in this series here.
Chapter 2: Reflecting on Change
As you ponder your future, consider the changes you hope to see.
