Embrace Your Power: The Truth About "Must" in Personal Growth

Chapter 1: The Power of Choice
It's amusing how often my guides communicate with me in threes. Do you experience this phenomenon too? It happens to me daily, sometimes multiple times a day. My response is usually, “Okay, I’m listening!” Just yesterday, I received a strong urge to share a lesson I should impart. It’s now on my to-do list—stay tuned for that!
However, the key takeaway for today is straightforward: halt any mental loops, or overthinking, that stem from a feeling of obligation to do something. This notion falls into the same category as “should.” Here’s a revelation—there is no requirement for you to do anything!
Previously, I mentioned that during my college years, I learned two significant lessons. My parents weren't thrilled with this realization, considering I attended a prestigious out-of-state university—Purdue. As a side note, we didn’t have computers back then; we had to check our grades posted outside the classroom. Yes, those were indeed different times!
The first lesson was “Everything is a choice,” a statement from my Accounting 101 professor on the very first day of class during my freshman year, a lesson that has stuck with me ever since.
Recently, while recording this week’s episode of the "Crush It In Sales" Podcast—Episode 149, titled "Business Confidence," I recounted a story that had a “must” aspect to it regarding hiring a marketing coach in 2021 who wasn’t a suitable match. That was a valuable lesson learned! Thank you, Human Design Profile 3/5!
Just moments later, I received a text insisting that I “must reschedule.” I paused to reflect on that and concluded with a firm “No.”
Additionally, while watching a fellow coach's Facebook Live session promoting her upcoming Masterclass, she discussed reclaiming your power. What perfect validation!
The lesson here is clear: trust your intuition, disregard the noise, and when the Universe presents you with signs of redirection or validation, make sure to pay attention.
Wishing you abundant love on your journey toward confidence!
